Whether you live within the Withers attendance zone or are applying from outside the district, and whether you're interested in General Education or the Two-Way Dual Language program, here's how to navigate enrollment.
If You're Zoned for Withers (General Education)
Simply enroll through the district's online registration using your zoned campus. No transfer application is required.

If You're Outside the Zone (Out-of-District or In-District Transfer, General Education)
Check the transfer application window. Dallas ISD's transfer window typically opens November 1 and closes January 31, with additional rounds sometimes available if space remains. Visit the Student Transfers page for current dates.
Confirm Withers has space available. Each year, Dallas ISD closes some schools to new transfers once they reach capacity — check the current list on the Student Transfers page.
Submit your transfer application through the district's enrollment portal during the open window. The district considers space availability, staffing, grades, disciplinary history, and attendance in approving transfers.
If You Want Two-Way Dual Language (Zoned or Out-of-District)
Apply through Choose Dallas ISD. Most students enter the program in Pre-K or Kindergarten. Acceptance notifications typically begin in March.
Transfer Rules to Know
No transportation is provided for transfer students.
Approved transfers may remain at Withers through the highest grade level without reapplying, unless the transfer is revoked.
Transfers are reviewed each spring and can be revoked for attendance, academic, or behavior concerns.
